During the Liberation War, eminent film producer Shri Hari Sadhan Dasgupta organized the filmmakers, artists, technicians and other cultural activists from Bangladesh and presented cultural programmes to enhance public awareness in favour of Bangladesh and raise funds. The proceeds of the programmes were spent for the welfare of the refugees. For his great contribution, Shri Hari Sadhan Dasgupta is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
