During the Liberation War, Shrimati Arundhati Ghose acted on behalf of the Indian Government and provided support and help to the Bangladesh Government in foreign land. She also played a very important role in providing with necessities to the refugee camps. As a sign of gratitude for her contribution Shrimati Arundhati Ghose is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
