CITATION
Janab Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo, the General Secretary of National Awami Party during the Liberation War, was a close associate of Bangabandhu. In March 1971, he visited Dhaka along with Janab Khan Abdul Wali Khan and tried to remove the impasse to handing over power to the elected representatives. Under his leadership, the National Awami Party continued to appraise the people of Pakistan of the genocide committed in Bangladesh. For his great contribution, Janab Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
