Marshal Josip Broz Tito extended his support to the people of Bangladesh who suffered torture and genocide at the hands of the Pakistani regime. He was very vocal in his support to the Freedom Fighters and the Liberation War of Bangladesh. As the leader of the Non-Aligned Movement, he was the supporter for National Independence and his support helped Bangladesh gaining recognition from Third World countries. For his great contribution towards the Independence of Bangladesh, Marshal Josip Broz Tito is awarded Bangladesh Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
