CITATION
Michael Barnes, a British politician, was a member of the British Parliament during our Liberation War in 1971. He presented a resolution to the British Parliament for cancellation of the visit to UK by the Pakistan Cricket Team. As a mark of recognition for his role as a friend outside and inside the British Parliament, Michael Barnes CBE is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
