During the Liberation War, Shri Narayan Desai helped the refugees by organizing widespread support of the organizations that believed in the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. He arranged and led the 'Road March to Delhi' in support of Bangladesh. For his noble contribution, Shri Narayan Desai is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
