During the Liberation War, famous artist Shri Niren Sen Gupta drew many paintings reflecting the genocide and Liberation War. These helped in garnering mass support worldwide in favour of Bangladesh. He collected funds through his painting exhibitions in Delhi and donated them to the refugee camps. For his great contribution towards the Liberation War, Shri Niren Sen Gupta is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
