During the Liberation War, a peasant leader belonging to the Communist Party, Janab Syed Abul Mansur Habibullah dedicated himself to the help of refugees coming from Bangladesh. He regularly distributed relief materials among the refugees in the camps. Through his international contacts, he appealed to different countries of the world to recognize the Government of Bangladesh. For his great contribution towards the Liberation War, Janab Syed Abul Mansur Habibullah is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
