During the Liberation War, eminent writer and philosopher Janab Abu Sayid Ayub extended all kinds of support to the poets, writers and cultural activists from Bangladesh. He apprised the intellectual community in India of actual status of the War of Liberation and appealed to them to stand beside Bangladesh. In addition, he made relentless efforts to win the support of the Indian intellectuals for the cause of Bangladesh. For his great contribution, Janab Abu Sayid Ayub is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
