CITATION
During the Liberation War, Shri Tarun Sanyal as the member of the editorial board of the newspaper 'Parichoy' regularly wrote in support of Liberation War. He addressed a meeting arranged by the Communist Party, Kolkata district committee in March, 1971 which was the first public meeting held in support of Bangladesh. The office of 'Parichoy' newspaper became the meeting place of all the writers, artists, professors and intellectuals from Bangladesh. He extended his full support and assistance to the Bangladeshi intellectuals. For his remarkable support and contribution, Shri Tarun Sanyal is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
