CITATION
During the Liberation War, Janab Qazi Faiz Mohammad was a Senior Vice-Chairman of All Pakistan Awami League and a trusted associate of Bangabandhu in the then West Pakistan. Staying underground in 1971, he tried his best to form public opinion for the release of Bangabandhu. When the war was over, he came to Dhaka without a passport to meet Bangabandhu and expressed his desire to settle in the independent Bangladesh. For his great contribution, Janab Qazi Faiz Mohammad is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
