CITATION
Simon Dring was working in Bangladesh as the correspondent for The Daily Telegraph in March 1971. He was the first person to inform the world about the atrocities and the reign of terror unleashed by the Pakistan Army on the people of Bangladesh on the night of 25 March. Through several forums, seminars and publications he presented to the people of the world the condition that prevailed here. For presenting the correct information and for working for the cause of the Liberation War, Simon Dring is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
