During the Liberation War, Shrimati Kabita Bose organized public meetings for creating public opinion in favour of Bangladesh. She arranged for sending funds collected through these meetings to various refugee camps. She visited these camps where she took care of the ailing people. In addition, she provided shelter to the Freedom Fighters in her house. For her great contribution, Shrimati Kabita Bose is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
