During the Liberation War, an outstanding reciter Shri Partha Ghosh, was an announcer and reader of Akashbani Calcutta. He prepared articles on the Liberation War and genocide and arranged to broadcast them. By his ‘Chithipatra’ programme, he was able to inform the world community on the genocide committed in Bangladesh. He used to write regular features in the newspapers on the Bangladesh Liberation War. He also attended seminars and arranged to collect funds for the refugees. He visited refugee camps, collected information on their sufferings and broadcast those in the radio programmes. For his great contribution to the Liberation War of Bangladesh, Shri Partha Ghosh is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
