Dr Paul Connet and his associates worked for two organizations called 'Operation Omega' and 'Action Bangladesh' during the Liberation War. Through these organizations, food and medicines were distributed among the suffering masses. He also assisted in organizing a huge rally at Trafalgar Square on 1 August 1971 and delivered a speech. This public meeting created sympathy and support for the cause of Bangladesh Liberation War. As a mark of recognition for his remarkable role and contribution to the Liberation War of Bangladesh, Dr Paul Connet is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
