Renowned lawyer Shri Rabindranath Chowdhury was an ardent supporter of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. During the War, he sent a 46-page report to the Prime Minister Shrimati Indira Gandhi containing information on the atrocities of Pakistan Army and appealed to her to take necessary action to stop the genocide. He also participated and delivered speeches in various public meetings and seminars to create public opinion in favour of Bangladesh. For his great contribution to the Liberation War of Bangladesh, Shri Rabindranath Chowdhury is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
