During the Liberation War in 1971, Shri P. N. Haksar worked on behalf of the Government of India to make all out effort to help materialize and support the Bangladesh Government in every possible manner. For his great contribution to our Liberation War, Shri P. N. Haksar is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
