During the Liberation War, as a Founder Executive Member of Amnesty International, Shri Daman Nath Dhungana repeatedly put pressure on the Government of Pakistan to stop genocide in Bangladesh. Through his and his organization’s consistent efforts, the international community became aware of the genocide in Bangladesh. This had a direct impact on the conscience of people worldwide. For his great contribution towards the Liberation War, Shri Daman Nath Dhungana is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
