During the Liberation War, after knowing about the genocide unleashed by the Pakistan Army, Shri Dilip Chakraborty visited the bordering areas and collected news on the war risking his life. Through his articles and reports, he brought to light the harrowing atrocities committed by Pakistan Army and the bravery of the Freedom Fighters. His book titled 'Ekattorer Ratdin' reveals the unknown stories of tumultuous days of 1971. In recognition of his remarkable contribution, Shri Dilip Chakraborty is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
