During the Liberation War, Shri Anandji Virji Shah played a vital role in composing music for the 'Concert for Bangladesh'. He worked closely with the cultural activists for arranging programmes in 1971 to create awareness in favour of Bangladesh and raise funds for the Freedom Fighters and refugees. For his great contribution towards the Liberation War, Shri Anandji Virji Shah is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour.
