CITATION
During the Liberation War, CPI leader and prominent politician of West Bengal, Shri Shantimoy Roy organized intellectuals of Bangladesh and helped create a movement in support of the Liberation War. Through public meetings and other programmes, he collected funds for refugees. For his great contribution towards the Liberation War, Shri Shantimoy Roy is awarded Friends of Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
