CITATION
During the Liberation War, Lord Harold Wilson was the Leader of the Opposition in the British Parliament. He raised the demand for suspending any assistance to Pakistan and for the release of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from Pakistan jail. On 9 June 1971, a debate was held in the House of Commons based on the demand raised by Lord Harold Wilson. In recognition of his great contribution in the Liberation War, Lord Harold Wilson is awarded Bangladesh Liberation War Honour (Posthumous).
